So
where did I (Pleshette)
spend my Friday night (5/26/06) from 6-9 pm?
At Table 260.
In Elk Grove feel the Bay Area flavor of jazz, fantastic food, and the
flow of on-the-go folks who absolutely love the opening of a new
restaurant with a good cuisine. It's a waterfall of soul as you enter
the doors of Table 260.
On Friday night, over 200 guests gathered for a private reception party
at Table 260 in Elk Grove. Me, my sister and mom were overwhelmed
by the mouth watering grilled salmon. We sampled plate after plate
of d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s perfectly
seasoned salmon steaks with multiple servings of white wine and red wine. The first course of appetizers was salmon, then came
artichoke hearts with crab and cheese on a baguette (this was really
good!). Our third appetizer
was garlic and buttered cajun shrimp with a final round of tender
slide of the bone barbeque baby back ribs. EVERYTHING about Table 260
reminded me of being away and in the Bay Area seeing that I am one of
the Bay Area transplants who migrated to Sac back in March 2001. I
was just mingling,
chatting,
and laughing with friends while listening to the alluring sound of jazz
artist, Ajam Akinyele,
who is outstanding. If you are looking for an entertaining jazz
artist, you should book him today. Ajamu is the IDEA of
jazz. We loved him. Ajamu's calendar is busy with upcoming
performances so you should you request his services as soon as
possible.
My favorites on
the menu are Chef Ray Smith's signature items of "chicken & waffles"
and the famous "catfish & grits" all day every day. Take a look at the
Table 260 menu for yourself.

Cutting Ceremony and Grand Opening of Table 260 is at 5:30 pm on
