Some new reports on the state of unemployment in the United States and California have recently been released.

The first comes from an article on BET.com today, April 6, which says the jobs report released by the US Labor Department today shows that hiring slowed in March, although there was a slight decline in unemployment levels, with the overall unemployment rate now at 8.2 percent.

The article also says that African-American unemployment rate was 14.0 percent, from 14.1 percent in February.

When it comes to California unemployment, a new report recently released by the University of California, Berkeley’s Center on Wage and Employment Dynamics says California’s labor market will not return to a healthy state until sometime between 2018 and 2023, according to an article on SacBee.com.
