Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a national organization of approximately 250,000 families organized in 500 chapters across the United States. It is a family based organization of caring people from all walks of life working together for the benefit of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and intersex (LGBTQI) communities. The Sacramento Chapter of PFLAG is pleased to be able to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior or a first year student from the Sacramento area enrolled in a two or four year college. The scholarship is named in honor of The Rev. and Mrs. Merrill Follansbee, chapter founders and proud parents of a gay son.
