The Nehemiah Emerging Leaders
Program (NELP) is a leadership development
effort targeting
African-American leaders between the ages of 20 to 35. The
program
develops and refines the skills and talents of emerging leaders,
creating a 21st Century leadership pipeline.
The 16 selected
NELP Fellows will go through the nationally recognized Coro Foundation
curriculum and will participate in discussions with Senior Fellows from
American Leadership Forum as well as develop meaningful life-long
relationships with the other NELP Fellows.
NELP desires
nominees who currently demonstrate an ability to lead and commit to
making a difference in our region. We are looking for individuals with
vision, character, passion, skills and knowledge. They must be humble
enough to be taught and have the right temperament to teach.
Corporations and organizations wishing to build leadership in their
workforce are also encouraged to submit nominations.
The
Nehemiah Corporation in association with the Coro Foundation and
American Leadership Forum welcomes all nominations for the leadership
program. Nominations are now being accepted along with a
brochure explaining the
program and the criteria. The program will begin in October of this
year with monthly meetings for one year.
Nehemiah Corporation
is proud to partner with the American Leadership Forum/Mountain Valley
www.alf-mvc.org and the Coro Center for Civic
Leadership www.coro.org in this exciting new venture.
