Superstar Beyonce has been named honorary chair of this year’s Costume Institute Gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, according to an article on Billboard.com.
The Gala is known as the “Oscars for the fashion industry, and includes the Met Costume Institute exhibition “Punk: Chaos to Culture,” which opens to the public May 9.
