Broadway At Music Circus, Like Summer In Sacramento, Is Fleeting

By Michael P Coleman

In case you haven’t noticed, summer is on the downward slope. Despite today’s scorching high temperature, the nights are a little cooler, the sunsets are a little earlier, and the peaches are just about to ripen.

If you doubt any of that, just take a trip to your local big box department store for a gander at the latest must-have back-to-school items. Before we know it, we’ll be driving through the rain and shivering under a favorite hoodie, braving the high winds of winter.

Now’s the time to soak up every bit of summer that we can, An essential part of that, in Sacramento, is Broadway At Music Circus. It’s a nationally-recognized platform for the very best of musical theatre’s talent, performing in the round at the UC Davis Health Pavilion (1419 H Street).

From the classics that generations have enjoyed to the most recent Broadway hits, Music Circus deserves some of your time, attention, and support. We’re blessed to have a presenting organization like Broadway Sacramento right here in town.

Upcoming Broadway At Music Circus shows include Waitress (August 6-11) and Jersey Boys (August 20-September 1), with Sunset Boulevard being next up, July 23-28. Based on the classic film, this Tony Award-winning Best Musical whisks audiences back to the glory days of Hollywood. Check it out…and get ready for your close-up!

(And here’s a Hub Exclusive: there are still some really great seats available during the second week of Jersey Boys. Tell ‘em MPC sent ya!)

But don’t dally! Summer — and these three amazing shows — will be behind us before you know it. You’ve still got time to join the thousands of people who are raving about this summer’s Broadway at Music Circus season!
