Andraé Crouch, a Grammy-winning gospel musician and songwriter who also directed the choirs that sang on Michael Jackson‘s Man in the Mirror and Madonna’s Like a Prayer, has been hospitalized with what his sister says are “serious health complications.”

Crouch’s best-known gospel songs include The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power, My Tribute (To God Be the Glory) and Soon and Very Soon, which was sung at Jackson’s public memorial service. He and his sister serve as pastors of the New Christ Memorial Church in San Fernando, Calif.
