Rapper Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and luxury retailer Barneys New York are partnering for a special holiday collection, “A New York Holiday,” for this holiday season.
The project will feature original interactive windows and exclusive limited edition products, which will be showcased on the third floor of the Barneys New York Madison Avenue flagship store. Proceeds from the collection will benefit the Shawn Carter Foundation, which helps individuals facing socio-economic hardships further their education at institutions of higher learning.
Jay Z has collaborated with a number of designers for the limited edition products, including Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler, Balmain, Lanvin and En Noir. The limited edition collection will be available starting November 20, 2013, and will be available on Barneys.com and in Barneys New York store in San Francisco.
