Motown greats such as Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves and the Four Tops’ Duke Fakir came together this past Monday to honor etiquette coach Maxine Powell, according to an article on BET.com.

The superstars met at Detroit’s Motown Historial Museum to honor Powell, who had formerly been in charge of artist development and is reportedly credited for polishing the label’s “diamonds in the rough” to prep them to “perform for kings and queens.”
