The night sky of the California State Fair & Food Festival was lit up by innovative drone technology for a second successful night. At approximately 9:45 p.m. fairgoers stopped and stared as the Drone Light Show presented by DISH made mesmerizing California-themed pictures high above the ground. “This is new and developing technology that gets better with every performance that we do,” said Matt Quinn, Director of Operations at Great Lakes Drone Company. “The drones performed according to the safety parameters designed for the performance.” Fairgoers cheered and clapped for their favorite shapes such an outline of the USA, a rolling Corvette, the word “CALI” spelled out in the sky, however the shape that got the biggest reaction, by far, was the Golden Bear. “We were really excited tonight to be able to display the signature state bear across the Fairgrounds,” said Quinn, “It’s not something you get to see every day!” One more Drone Light Show presented by DISH is planned for the final night of the California State Fair & Food Festival on Sunday, July 28. The drones will be followed by fireworks. Please contact the CA State Fair Media Center at 916-263-3108 for more information. | ||
