Stephon Clark Legacy Week Returns to Sacramento With Community Events, Conversations, and Healing
Sacramento community members are invited to come together for the 8th Annual Stephon Clark Legacy Week, a series of events taking place March 13–18, 2026, honoring the life and legacy of Stephon Clark while continuing the call for justice, healing, and community unity.
Organized by community leaders and advocates connected to the I Am Sac Foundation, Legacy Week brings together families, residents, artists, and local organizations for a variety of gatherings designed to encourage reflection, conversation, and community engagement.
The week begins Friday, March 13 with the Legacy Weekend Kickoff from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 5940 Rosebud Lane in Sacramento, offering free entry for community members to gather and set the tone for the days ahead.
On Saturday, March 14, the celebration of culture and creativity continues with the 1st Annual Stephon Clark Music & Entertainment Awards, scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Self Design Art Gallery (708 K Street). The event will highlight local talent and recognize contributions from artists and entertainers within the community.
A special moment of reflection and support will take place on Sunday, March 15, during Mama Clark’s Mother’s Brunch, held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 2801 Meadowview Road in Sacramento. The gathering will bring together mothers, families, and supporters for an afternoon focused on healing and community connection. The program will feature brunch, live entertainment, guest speakers, and an awards ceremony honoring the strength and resilience of mothers—particularly those who have experienced the loss of children to violence.
Legacy Week continues Monday, March 16, with Uncomfortable Necessary Conversations, a community dialogue event from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Self Design Art Gallery. The free discussion is intended to create space for honest conversations around justice, community healing, and social change.
On Tuesday, March 17, community members can participate in the Stephon Clark Legacy Ride Along from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with activities taking place across multiple Sacramento locations. The ride along serves as a symbolic community gathering to honor Clark’s memory while bringing residents together in solidarity.
The week concludes Wednesday, March 18, with Stephon Clark Day at the California State Capitol from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This gathering will bring community members, advocates, and supporters to the Capitol to continue conversations about justice, accountability, and community empowerment.
Stephon Clark Legacy Week has become an annual moment for Sacramento residents to reflect, support one another, and continue building a stronger community in Clark’s memory.
