Sacramento, CA — ART-TISM proudly announces its 5th Annual ART-TISM Interactive Art Exhibit, a milestone celebration marking five years of inclusive, sensory-friendly arts programming for children with disabilities and their families. This free, family-centered event will welcome more than 300 special needs families from across Sacramento, offering a safe and joyful space where creativity, accessibility, and belonging come together.

Founded to address the lack of inclusive arts experiences for neurodiverse children, ART-TISM has grown from a grassroots community effort into a citywide signature event. While hosted at a single location, the exhibit serves families from all across Sacramento, reinforcing the message that inclusion is a shared community responsibility.

The Interactive Art Exhibit features hands-on stations intentionally designed to support a wide range of sensory needs and learning styles. Interactive experiences include Lego Land, Color Me Blue, PlayDohVille, Paint-the-Town Red, a Calming Room, and a Grooming Station. Families are encouraged to explore at their own pace in a supportive environment facilitated by trained volunteers, educators, and community partners.

“ART-TISM is more than an art exhibit—it’s a space where children of all abilities are free to express themselves, feel safe, and be celebrated,” said Valene Byrd, Founder and Program Director. “Reaching our fifth year is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community commits to inclusion.”

As ART-TISM enters its fifth year, the organization continues to expand its reach through inclusive programming, advocacy, and partnerships that uplift children with disabilities and their families. The 5th Annual Interactive Art Exhibit stands as both a celebration of progress and a call to continue building a more inclusive Sacramento.
