Juneteenth 2026: Your Guide to Celebrations Across the Greater Sacramento Region

Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, honor history, support Black-owned businesses, and recognize the ongoing contributions of African Americans to our communities. Throughout June, organizations across the Greater Sacramento Region will host festivals, concerts, health events, economic empowerment gatherings, educational programs, and family-friendly celebrations commemorating the historic day when enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865.
Whether you’re looking for live music, cultural experiences, community resources, entrepreneurship opportunities, or family fun, here are some of the top Juneteenth events taking place throughout the region.
Sacramento Juneteenth Festival & Gospel Under the Stars
One of Northern California’s largest Juneteenth celebrations returns for its 23rd year at William Land Park. The festivities begin Friday, June 19, with “Gospel Under the Stars,” an evening of inspirational music and fellowship. The celebration continues Saturday, June 20, with the annual Sacramento Juneteenth Festival featuring live entertainment, the Soul Parade, health and wellness resources, educational exhibits, food vendors, arts and culture, and activities for the entire family. Featured performers include the LoveSomeBody Band, Prophecy, Pickles & Chips, Consonance, DJ Gino, and more.

Black Wall Street Experience – Elk Grove
Dreams Unlimited Foundation presents the Black Wall Street Experience, a Juneteenth Freedom Day Party focused on economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, ownership, and community wealth. The event features live entertainment, community awards, a vendor marketplace, guest speakers, horseback rides, children’s activities, and opportunities to support Black-owned businesses.

California State Capitol Juneteenth Celebration

St. HOPE Juneteenth Block Party
Oak Park’s annual Juneteenth Block Party continues to be one of Sacramento’s most anticipated community celebrations. The event showcases local artists, vendors, entertainers, community organizations, and Black-owned businesses while creating opportunities for fellowship and neighborhood pride.

Juneteenth Folsom at Historic Black Miners Bar
One of the region’s most unique Juneteenth celebrations takes place at Historic Black Miners Bar on Folsom Lake, a site connected to the history of California’s Black Gold Rush pioneers. The event celebrates African American freedom, history, culture, and the legacy of Black 49ers who sought freedom and opportunity in California. Attendees can expect live entertainment, food vendors, cultural programming, educational exhibits, family activities, and community engagement.

Stockton Juneteenth Celebration
The Stockton Juneteenth Celebration continues to be one of the largest African American cultural events in San Joaquin County, bringing together families, businesses, entertainers, and community organizations. The event traditionally features live music, cultural performances, youth activities, educational resources, food vendors, health information, and opportunities to support Black-owned businesses while celebrating freedom and community pride.
