BET Awards 2026: Teyana Taylor to Receive the ‘Icon of the Year’ Honor
Teyana Taylor has been named the 2026 Icon of the Year by BET and will receive the honor at the 2026 BET Awards on June 28.
The award recognizes artists who have made significant cultural contributions to the entertainment industry. Connie Orlando of BET praised Taylor’s fearless and assertive creative approach, highlighting her impact on culture.
Taylor, a Harlem native, has had a successful career as a dancer, choreographer, singer, and actress, with multiple Grammy and Academy Award nominations.
The BET Awards 2026, hosted by Druski, will air live on June 28 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
